Hi Janelle,

We liked the splendor of the seas. I enjoy smaller ships as its a bit more intimate and easier to interact with crew and fellow cruisers as much or less as you want. Our dining room servers know our servers from the last two rhapsody cruises and updated us on their new addition to their family which was awesome!

Ports of call we thoroughly enjoyed. Very safe, friendly and lovely people everywhere. Gangway was never packed and always free flowing.

Dubai: is crazy awesome! So much to see, do and learn about the culture, religion, and way of life as all the developments keep coming. So many different ethnicity working and living there. The port is a bit far from Dubai downtown, although taxis are plentiful and cheaper than here in W.A.

Khasab: is beautiful and charming. We did a Dhow Cruise (private booking, not via RC), and it was so relaxing. We enjoyed seeing the beauty of Khasab on the wooden boats. A lovely day with a swim and dolphins swimming next to boat.

Muscat: LOVED Muscat! Mountains in the city centre, between the buildings…just awesome! The food (yum!), culture, people and their way of life is so interesting. We had a private local guide for both days and he was the best. I’d love to revisit Muscat for sure.

Abu Dhabi: is beautiful. The grand mosque is amazing. It’s a bit spread out as the port requires transportation and taxis are plentiful.

One thing to note, the Big Bus Tours are at the ports of call (except Khasab) and you can buy passes from the? company reps at the port or pre-book online (you can do Muscat, Dubai and Abu Dhabi all in one tickets etc, for a cheaper price).

This was a great itinerary and we are so glad we did this cruise. We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise as a great introduction to the middle east.
